 Federal Office of Rural Health Policy


The Office of Rural Health Policy (ORHP) promotes better health care service in rural America. The Office works both within government at federal, state and local levels, and with the private sector -- with associations, foundations, providers and community leaders -- to seek solutions to rural health care problems.

  Rural Health Information Hub (RHIHub)


The Rural Health Information Hub(RHIHub) was established in December 2002 as a rural health and human services "information portal." RHIHub helps rural communities and other rural stakeholders access the full range of available programs, funding, and research that can enable them to provide quality health and human services to rural residents.

  Upper Midwest Rural Health Research Center


The Upper Midwest Rural Health Research Center (UMRHRC) is a partnership that brings together two centers with extensive experience in rural health research and dissemination: the University of Minnesota Rural Health Research Center and the University of North Dakota Center for Rural Health. The two centers are combining their expertise to undertake national projects focusing on quality of rural health care and other important rural health issues. The results of these studies will be useful to health care providers, purchasers of health care, and policymakers, including the federal government.

  North Carolina Rural Health Research and Policy Program


The North Carolina Rural Health Research Program (NC RHRP) is built on the twenty-seven year history of rural health services research at the University of North Carolina's Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research. The program draws on the experience of a wide variety of scholars and researchers, analysts, managers and health service providers associated with the Center.

  The RUPRI (Rural Policy Research Institute) Center for Rural Health Policy Analysis


The mission of the Center is to provide timely analysis to federal and state health policy makers, based on the best available research. The RUPRI Center is built upon the solid foundation laid by the past seven years of work conducted by the RUPRI Rural Health Panel. The work of the Rural Health Panel continues through collaboration with the RUPRI Center for Rural Health Policy Analysis.

  The WWAMI (Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, & Idaho) Rural Health Research Center (RHRC)


Major areas of inquiry being conducted at the WWAMI RHRC focus on (a) the training and supply of rural health care providers and the content and outcomes of the care they provide; (b) the availability and quality of care for rural women and children, including obstetric and perinatal care; and (c) access to high-quality care for vulnerable and minority rural populations.

  The Centre for Rural and Northern Health Research (CRaNHR)


CRaNHR's mandate is to conduct interdisciplinary research on rural health with a view to improving health services, access to health care, particularly in rural and northern communities, and enhancing our understanding of the health care system.
